Ryder News for July 30, 2020

Mystery Photo

Yay, we finally have another mystery photo to share and figure out who it is! The only clue I can give you is...This gentleman and his wife used to live in Ryder for a few years. Let me know who you think it could be...phone or text  me at 701-720-4297 or e mail me at sbradley@restel.com.

6 Harleys and their riders along with Pastor Starks and his wife Pam.

Pastor Starks had this to say about his drive in church service at Calvary Church in Ryder this past Sunday,  “Rev up your engines and praise!

This morning at church we had some extra excitement! Six Harleys joined us, as well as a couple of other bikes too!

Our service closed in a rousing chorus of ‘Victory in Jesus, and ‘engine praise’”.

The ‘engine praise’ meant the motorcycles all revved up their engines at the end of the service. I listened on the radio at home and I could hear them real well! It seems lately when he talks about his drive in church service, he is really getting drive in attendance especially with motorcycles...amazing.

Last week when I was talking about the weather and mentioned that it had rained all day that Monday and the forecast was it was to be rainy all week. Well, guess what...we didn’t get any more than the .20 that we had gotten last Monday. We had all the ingredients for storms, high humidity and heat and storms all around us but nothing for us. I even saw the ants were making ant hills which is suppose to be a sure sign of rain!! We even had a beautiful rainbow Friday evening which signified that it had rained somewhere, just not here. There were a lot of rainbow pictures on Facebook that evening and the next day.
