Ryder News for March 30, 2017

Dishing up at the Family Fun Night spaghetti supper.

Kenny and I attended Family Fun Night with the Spaghetti Supper at the Community Club/Gym. I think they served between 60-100 people so it was a rather disappointing turnout. The free will offering will go towards the Community Club building upkeep. The food was great!

Kids enjoying the bouncy houses during family fun night

The Community Club has purchased two bouncy houses for entertainment for the kids while other functions are going on. The houses will remain in the Community Club building.

There will be a general church cleaning on March 31, at 5 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

There will be a bridal shower for Jamie Larson, bride-to-be of Tyrone Deutsch at the Makoti Senior Citizens Center on April 9 at 2 p.m.

Stetson and Shelsey Brandvold brought over a plate of goodies that they made in their club the Rocky Acres 4-H Club. Yum!

Three-generation picture of the Roseann Cunningham family: Sarah (Roseann’s daughter) holding Abby, Aaron Proctor and grandmother Roseann.

I have a three-generation picture that was taken in March 2017.  It shows members of the Roseann Cunningham family. It is of her granddaughter, Abby, who is 5 months old, Abby’s parents, Sarah (Roseann’s daughter) and Aaron Proctor and Grandmother Roseann. Roseann is called Sue now. Sue’s parents were Georgia and Verr Cunningham, so she was a sister to Larry.

There were 3 tables of whist in session at the Roseglen hall Wednesday night at another one of its popular progressive whist parties.

Low for women was won by Olinda Bergan, a package of toothpicks, a prize she shared with everyone. Low for men went to Louie Halvorson. High winners last week were Harry Franklin and June Sprenger and the low winners were Venetia Giffey and Louie Halvorson.
