Ryder News for Oct. 26, 2017

This is going to be a short news column this week as my husband Kenny is getting ready to go to the hospital for an angiogram and possible angioplasty. He also has a huge aneurysm on his aorta so he will have to have surgery on that  after they do the heart procedures.

The Ryder Food Pantry is in desperate need of plastic grocery bags, cloth grocery bags and donations, be it food or monetary. The Christmas season is upon us and we really want to be able to give Christmas baskets to our customers. So far we have 9, 8 to 10lb. turkeys (we need at least 6 more), we have potatoes, gravy, veggies and roaster pans.
We need pies, cookies, apple cider, milk, eggs, buns, canned sweet potatoes, boxed dressing mix, Christmas candy for the kids, fruit, etc.
If you can help, our donation boxes are in the St. John Lutheran Church in Ryder, the Ryder post office, Town and Credit Union in Ryder, or call Kathy at 701-578-5876 or P.J. at 701-240-3964 or send monetary donations to P.O. Box 61, Ryder, ND 58779. We appreciate your support.
