Ryder
News for April 14, 2016
Well, how did my April
fool’s joke go over? I had some fantastic feedback and all good. I fooled a lot
of my readers and they were glad when they read to the end of the news and saw
that I wasn’t really quitting!
Ryder Senior Center featuring new flooring and also wainscoting on front of counter. |
I have a few pictures
to share this week. Kenny and I went to the Sr. Citizens Monday evening and
enjoyed their evening meal. While I was there I took a picture of the
wainscoting that David Kimball had put on the front of the counter. He had
removed the old outdated carpeting that was on it. He also redid the floor in
the front part of the Center. He removed the old carpeting and replaced it with
wood laminate flooring. It all looks great as you can see in the picture.
Work is progressing on Ryder’s city auditor’s building on Main St. |
The city auditor’s
building is coming along on Main St. The footings are poured and I will keep
taking pictures as the work progresses and then the Mayor can cut the ribbon
and dedicate the building! I wonder if they do that in Ryder. Oh well, if not,
they can always start!
Mark your calendar for
Tuesday, May 3rd as that is when the Easton B. Memorial Blood Drive will take
place. It will be held at the Ryder Community Center/Gym from 1-6 p.m. Call
Amber for an appointment at 701-720-0864. Please bring your photo ID and donor
card. There is a free cholesterol testing with every donation.
