Ryder News for Jan. 9, 2020
Evelyth Wohlk was 101 years old on Dec. 30th and she celebrated her birthday with her family.
Pat and Joyce McKinzie, Tom and Linda Madsen were Christmas Eve supper guests at Lee and Julie Brandvolds. They had a wonderful supper and opened gifts afterwards. It is always so much more fun to watch the kids open their presents.
Then
on Christmas Day, Lee and Julie Brandvold and kids entertained again
and had Lee's side for dinner. Present were John, Shirley and Kreg
Brandvold, Kathy Brandvold and Jamie Elker from Bismarck, Joyce
and Pat also joined them again for another wonderful dinner. Gifts were
opened afterwards and all had a nice afternoon of visiting. At least
the weather cooperated for a change and it was not storming .
I was finally able to celebrate Christmas with the McGrath's on New Year’s Day!
We
had to postpone it because they were all sick with the flu and I sure
didn’t want to get it! We opened gifts and had lunch. I received a pair
of binoculars, a book and a nice skillet. Rick got me a dash cam. Now
that it's all over, I can start taking decorations down. Thanks for the
fun evening kids, glad we finally got together and you are finally over
the flu.
Ron
and Muriel Peterson and Bruce and Deb Peterson all from Ryder spent
Christmas Day with Rondi and Steve Deaver and boys in Minot. Ron and Murial
and the Deavers went to LaMoure Dec. 27th to celebrate Christmas with
Scott, Kari, Ana and Tate Mart. They had planned on staying for the
weekend, but the weather report changed their minds, so they returned
home.
Ron
and Muriel Peterson joined the Bruce and Deb Peterson family one
evening to bring Christmas wishes to them. Their whole family had been
together for their holiday fun.
Gary Hagen spent Christmas at Pat and Betty Wiley’s in Whitetail, Montana. He left Dec. 23rd and returned home on Dec. 28th.
Rick and Shelly Sherven and Coltyn
along with Grandma Marlene Otteson, Blane and Kaiya Folden from Surrey,
and Blake Folden from Minot all enjoyed an afternoon together on
Christmas Eve with lots of food and of course opening gifts!!
Birthday girls, Muriel Peterson and Nancy Johansen. |
A
bunch of us celebrated Muriel Peterson and Nancy Johansen’s birthdays
at the local watering hole here in Ryder on Saturday, Jan. 4th. I won’t
attempt to name names as I would probably forget somebody. We all had a
fun time visiting and laughing. We even had food to eat. Happy Birthday
again ladies!
