Ryder News Apr 25, 2019

I might be back to writing the news or I might not, depends if I have anything to say or write about. I've had so many people begging me to start writing again so we will see how it goes but I will need your help by sending me your news. If I don't have any news items there may not be news for that week! You can reach me at sbradley@restel.com or call me at 701-758-2239 or 701-720-4297. Feel free to send me your Easter news and pictures.

I think maybe, just maybe, spring has sprung. I sure do love these nice warm days and even more so when it isn't windy!!

I've been taking advantage of this beautiful weather to do outside things such as rake my yard. I won't say what I've been raking but I do have 4 dogs living with me so just use your imagination!

I didn't make it to the Easter Egg hunt but, I did manage to get to church on Palm Sunday and to the Palm Sunday dinner altho no pictures since I didn't know I was going to write a little for the news. Their dinner was excellent as usual and made and dished up by the men. Good job guys!

Pastor Jonathan Starks and family had a little accident last week on Highway 83 south of Minot  resulting in the totaling of their car. Three deer decided to play chicken in front of his car and the last one didn't make it. Thank goodness no one in the car was hurt, just the deer which didn't make it and the car didn't make it either!

My grandson, Levi Sprinkle stays here with his dad and me several times a week and he said this to me yesterday, "Grandma you are going to have to teach me how to run your computer!" I said, "I don't think so". These kids now days are just too darn smart. He will be five by the time you read this.

Johnny McGrath, my ten year old grandson is in the 4th grade and still interested in writing. He is always writing little stories and if I keep this column going, I may share one.

Do any of my former readers remember the Mystery Photo game we used to play? Well, how about we try that again as I remember it was kinda fun to try and guess who the person in the picture was! So if you want to do this, I will need readers to send me pictures and hints about the identity via my email address or to Box 113, Ryder, ND 58779.
