The following is a press release from Farm Credit Services:

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota is proud to announce that it has awarded the Ryder Happy Hour Senior Citizens $7,500 as a recipient of the Pat-NOW Community Fund (PNCF). The grant funds will help replace old electrical wiring in their century old building.

Representatives from the Ryder Happy Hour Senior Citizens are pleased to accept the check and utilize the grant funds towards this electrical replacement project for the center.

"Farm Credit is proud to provide grant funds to help the Happy Hour Senior Citizens towards their electrical replacement project," says Claude Sem, CEO of Farm Credit Services of North Dakota. A secure electrical system is essential to the integrity of a building and will provide a much safer environment for community members. Farm Credit Services believes it's important to give back to the community. "Those who utilize the center, as well as the entire community, will benefit from this project," Sem adds.

Farm Credit Services of North Dakota established the Pat-NOW Community Fund to assist in the implementation and development of projects and programs in local communities and rural areas in western North Dakota.

The Pat-NOW Community Fund is currently accepting applications for future funding requests. Interested parties can apply at www.farmcreditnd.com.
