Let’s start out with the most important news for this week! Today, Jan. 12th is my birthday...I made it this far due to the grace of God. It is also my grandson’s birthday, my twin brother’s birthday and his wife as well. You may leave my gifts at the back door!!

Tyler and Shannon Stafslien are expecting their first baby and she is due any day, most likely on my birthday! Wouldn’t that be cool!

Candy Skarsgard (Makoti High, class of 1968) passed away last week in New Mexico. I have no details at this time, but info will be in the Minot Daily News  shortly. Please share with classmates and Makoti connections.

Navy Picture of Merle Anderson, Lowell Sorenson, Joe Johnson, Stan Hjelmstad.

Stan Hjelmstad shared a Navy picture.
"These 4 young men all attended Ryder High. They all enlisted in the Navy in 1948. Merle Anderson died in 2000, Lowell Sorenson in 2012 and Joe Johnson in 2015. This leaves just Stan Hjelmstad, left of the group! He has many great memories from his Ryder days that include these men and others. Stan wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope 2017 is a great one."

Some of the snowmobiles in the Ryder Poker Run on Jan. 7.

There was a snowmobile poker run on Saturday Jan. 7th. Riders started in Ryder and then went to Plaza, Makoti, Douglas and back to Ryder. I managed to snag a picture from Facebook of some of the machines in Ryder.

The children of Arnold and Elizabeth Larson.

I managed to get another picture from Facebook and it is the children of Arnold and Elizabeth Larson. Kenny was able to name them all and also knew that the baby was missing from the picture. Does anyone else want to try and name them in order and then send the answer to me. And just who is the missing baby??
