Steak fry at the Paulson house: L to R: Michael Officer, Sonny Olson, Dwight Paulson, Roxann Olson, Gary Hovde, Sheryl Erb, Rod Officer.

Dwight Paulson posted a picture from the past on Facebook and I told him I was going to use it in the news column. He said it was of a steak fry at the Paulson house while his folks were out of town on a trip to Alabama and he thought it was taken in the late 50’s or early 60’s.. He said he thought that Rodger Haugen took the picture as he wasn’t in it. Michael Officer, Sonny Olson, Dwight, Roxann Olson, Gary Hovde, Sheryl Erb, Rod Officer are gathered around the kitchen table.

I have some old Roseglen News from years gone by and will include a snippet of the news in my column each week for your memories and enjoyment.

Roseglen News by Mrs. Earl Pederson--June 7, ?
“The Lutheran students Association from MSTC presented a program Sunday evening at Immanuel Lutheran church for the Luther League. Mrs. Ervin Kolden and Mrs. Lloyd Kolden were hostesses for lunch.
Valborg Drever is driving a new car.
Life is not quite the same in this household since the man of the house took sick and we are trying as best we can to get along without him. He’s a patient at Trinity hospital in Minot, ill with hepatitis, which is classified as a “mystery disease” in a recent magazine article. Hepatitis, which is caused by a virus, is incredibly hardy, and recovery from it is slow. Earl has been in the hospital a week today and as yet we do not know how long his stay will be. However we are fortunate to have Marion Franklin here to keep that tractor humming.” (To be continued next week).
