Ryder News for Dec. 19, 2019
Wow,
what a roller coaster week this has been with the temps up and down and
the wind mostly up and then...yikes, Christmas is almost here!
Santa
Day in Ryder has come and gone. There weren't very many taking in the
festivities that day as there were so many other things going on in area
towns.
Santa and Mrs. Claus had the flu so they couldn’t attend and had to send Addison, one of their elves instead. He did real well filling in for Santa and listened patiently to the kids gift lists. I managed to snap a picture of him with Jacob Louks from Makoti.
There
were 30 turkeys given away that day and every family received a turkey
plus there were a few leftovers so they were donated to the local food
pantry to be used in Christmas baskets. I managed to get a picture of Artie Hanson with the turkey he won.

Calvary
Church will have a break from Sunday School on December 22 and 29.
Sunday School will resume on January 5 at the regular time of 9:15 a.m.
The worship service will be each week at 10:30 a.m.
That’s it for news this week.
I didn’t hear from anyone and with the cold weather, no one wanted to
be out and about making news for my column. Have a great week and get
some news sent to me!
